"Louisville is a lit city. It's beautiful and small, but there's a lot going on. People have misconceptions about Kentucky, thinking we're just living on farms with dirt roads, but that's literally the opposite reality. We're turned up out here."
Ken's path wasn't always clear. A traumatic shooting at age 13 and losing friends throughout his teenage years forced him to confront the dangerous realities of his environment.
"My daughter is the most important thing to me. She's smart and literally my everything. I'm doing this for her."
CEO, Heart Stoppers Entertainment
As CEO of Heart Stoppers Entertainment, Ken approaches music as both an artist and entrepreneur. He understands the challenges of being independent, especially from a smaller market like Louisville.
"Being an independent artist is hard because you don't have that big machine behind you. Coming from a small city where there's not a huge spotlight, you really have to work harder."
"We have a lot of talent here; we just need to come together. I want everybody to eat; I don't just want to be the only one to blow up. If I blow up, I'm coming back for the next hot artist."
